I have been a therapist for 13 years. After graduating from the Master of Counseling Program at Arizona State University, I developed a program for adolescents charged with misdemeanors and minor felonies. I also began substance abuse assessments and probation counseling. After taking some time off with my second baby, I started an eleven year adventure working with at-risk youth and homeless families within a high school district here in the valley. I began working at Gentle Path at the Meadows in 2016 where I earned my certification in treating sex and porn addiction from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. In the last 3 years, I have worked specifically with sex and porn addicts, their families, and the trauma involved during or before the addiction. From working as a research assistant in a behavioral lab with Skinner boxes to training in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Interpersonal, Humanistic, Family Systems, to Post-Induction Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. I have had the amazing fortune of working with Peter Levine, Bessel van der Kolk, Pia Mellody, Tian Dayton, as well as Pat and Stephanie Carnes.
